Lack vs. Abundance
When we define our thoughts with a negative or a positive we enforcing a vibrational frequency that ripples out into the world. Thinking you can not do something means you can’t or wont do that thing. A “lack mentality” will always create a lack of, in your reality. Even if you have a whole hoarded collection of toilet paper you will still believe it is not enough and you will run out. With a lack mentality you hoard, you covet, and you become more greedy, and you see yourself in short supply of whatever it is you lack. This can be anything from failure to lack of courage and on. A lack mentality is a dangerous mentality and it is selfish. It is where we listen to that inner ego and it’s throwing a tantrum until it gets its way. It whines and complains about all the things it hasn’t got, or achieved and then applies pressure to your existence. It causes comparisons and disruptions and overshadows all the progress and growth you have made.
I know this feeling well. There were times I felt as if I didn’t have enough. Like with my work, I had finally achieved a real solid book of clients. Working hard to get to that point, yet all I saw was it wasn’t enough. I wanted more, but not in the kind of way thats full of abundance, the selfish kind of way. Yes I was selfish at times, we all can be. Get over it. But for a little while I didn’t treat my business like it was abundant and bringing me money. Instead I felt like I can never achieve real success and money doing this. I started to become resentful and even jealous of fellow businesses. What were they doing that I wasn’t. And then something changed.
I decided one day to realize how abundant I was. The amount of respect I had received was wasted for so long until I decided that it was a great privilege and honor, and that I should be grateful for this. When I shifted my mentality from lack to abundant my business changed as well. It became booked solid consistently. I took charge and began to see my business as abundant and profitable. For a long time I had poor girl mentality, and that lack of, caused me to think even when I was abundant that I had nothing and was always broke. I never believed for so long I was allowed success. Being told you were a burden and that you never had a place to belong, that played a huge role on my “lack mentality.”
The opposite of a “lack mentality” is abundance. When you believe in abundance then you have plenty and that there is enough for all. There are times I still have a hard time believing fully in this abundance, yet I practice it daily. The law of attraction is like attracts like, and this is 100% true. When I felt lack my business suffered, when I felt abundant my business thrived. To practice using abundance is hard because your inner demon will always try to derail you. I think that because of learned programming, to obtain a state of abundance when you are in a constant state of lack is extremely difficult. There is an undertone of thought always cycling. Underneath it all is a bunch of code that establishes your rules, and when you try to change it? Well it produces an error and leaves you feeling frustrated. But that is when you buckle down and learn how to code and become the creator of your own software.
Is there a time where you felt more lack than abundant? Is there something you can do to practice living a more abundant life? Have you started to see how living in a lack creates uncertainty and want? I challenge you to sit with yourself and look at your life. Everything from materialistic goods to the people to your career. What do these things make you feel? Do you feel proud? Or loved? Do you feel like you are chasing? Do you feel like it’s not enough? What is your external environment telling you? Because most times what you feel inside is a reflection out into the world. If you have a lack of love, or loyal relationships, there most be some coding in you to believe this will always be so. Our external worlds are reflections of our inner one. So really start to understand what it is that you have been creating. This will give you the opportunity to change the things that no longer serve you.
